Mikan Watch #104: Mr. Osomatsu

Seen here in it’s traditional guise as a container for moving domicile, from the penultimate episode (for now, at least) of Mr. Osomatsu (or Osomatsu-san, if you are so inclined).

Mikan Watch #103: Tetsujin 28 (2004)

Thaliarchus over on the Twitter pinged this shot from the 2004 version of Tetsujin 28 in my direction some sixty days ago, which I promptly sat on and did nothing with.

I can’t say I’ve seen any of the 2004 version of the series myself, mind you. I did, however, watch an awful lot of The New Adventures of Gigantor (the US version of the 1980 Tetsujin 28 show) as a wee’un when it ran on the old satellite telly here in Blighty. I don’t really have much recollection of it outside of the opening theme, though!

Mikan Watch #102: Concrete Revolutio

From episode 12 of Concrete Revolutio, a Superhuman who is a guy in a Mikan box with a drill for one of his arms. I’d have to presume that he’s based on some popular character from the 1960s or so, but I can’t say I have any idea who. I’d presume that he’s secretly way, way powerful, though.

I’ll probably write more about ConRevo in coming days, so I can’t really say I have much to say about it right now. It’s a real good show, though!

From the first episode of the TV version of Blue Exorcist, being used as a container to transport items from one homestead to another.

Mikan Watch #100: Teekyuu

From episode 68 of the ever-wonderful, and greatest-sports-cartoon-ever, Teekyuu, which I cannot possibly think of a more appropriate show than for the 100th official Mikan Watch instalment.

Not that I particularly have any further comment regarding the show, but now that I’ve devoted the 100th post to something worthwhile, I can probably go back and actually post some of the other possible entries I’ve been sitting on (or, more honestly, been too lazy to go back and screencap).

(p.s. Hackadoll is still great)
